Aqualution is made up of team of R&D specialists, engineers and scientists who support our commercial colleagues. We are committed to solving real-world problems and making a real difference through the provision of expert advice and proven, effective hypochlorous acid products and solutions.
We're a small team that can make a big difference. We feel strongly about leading positive change in health and hygiene and championing products and systems that drive lower infection rates, prevent cross-contamination in our food chains and can protect the environment.
Nick Meakin
CEO
Nick is a qualified chemist who has worked with Aqualution® technology since 2002. In his past career, he has worked in automotive, food, airline and aquaculture industries in senior management and main board roles, and brings that experience to understanding how our products can best be applied to new sectors.
Michelle Lewis
Technical Director
Michelle spent her early career in R&D (nutrition) before joining ASL in 2005. Michelle is a science geek at heart and believes passionately in developing scientific solutions to solve problems caused by microorganisms. She has a proven track record across a range of areas including food safety and infection control.
Richard Joyce
Chairman
Richard has over 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry most notably serving in a variety of executive roles for 3Com corp. for 13 years until 2000. Previously, Richard served as the Chairman of WIN (Wireless Information Network Ltd), a leading Mobile Data Services company from 2000 until 2009 which included an IPO onto the AIM (London) market in 2004.
John Purves
Operations Director
John is qualified in Electronic & Electrical Engineering and Microprocessor Design and has worked with Aqualution since 2005. John started his career with Neve Electronics, developing and manufacturing world class audio equipment. John has previously worked in the electronic sub-contract sector in senior management and board roles, providing high quality products to a number of markets, including automotive, medical and military.
Vicki Whetton
Sales & Marketing Director
Vicki has over 20 years of marketing experience and has held senior marketing roles in-house as well as in advertising and strategic marketing agencies in London and Edinburgh. She has vast experience of the Scottish B2B landscape as well as branding strategies for consumer products.
Anne McGuire
Quality & Compliance Manager
Anne has 40 years of business management systems experience in manufacturing. She has held quality engineering & senior quality management roles within Energy and Electronics Sectors, applying TQM principles and quality tools including SPC and FMEA. She has performed auditing at 1st, 2nd & 3rd party level to ISO-9001:2015 & more recently ISO-13485:2016 and holds certificates for NEBOSH & TapRoot.
Alan Turnbull
Senior Process Engineer
Alan is a qualified Electronic & Electrical Engineer and spent his first 23 years of employment with a prestige audio company. Alan joined Aqualution in 2004 as an engineer involved in all aspects of both mechanical and electronic engineering. Alan has been involved in countless projects over the years as part of a dedicated team and has been integral in helping to get the organisation where it is today.
Samantha Jackson
Key Account Manager
Samantha has over 14 years experience in accounts working for the motor trade, packaging and retail industry building knowledge in sales and customer services before taking some time away to raise her family. Samantha joined Aqualution in 2020, ready for a new challenge.
Nicky Wood
Production Controller
Nicky served in the army as a clerk, in many locations including the Falklands, Northern Ireland and Germany. After raising her family she re-entered the work place dealing with residential lettings before moving onto working at a local solicitors as receptionist and property retail assistant.
Danni Butler
Accounts
Danni joined us in 2017 from a customer service and managerial background. She looks after customer orders, queries & enquiries, invoicing and day to day admin. She’s also not afraid to tell the boss when the biscuit tin needs to be refilled!
Emma Cleghorn
Customer Services and HR Executive
Emma has over 20 years experience in the fashion retail industry where she was a Store Manager for a high street retailer for 13 years. This has given her experience in sales, customer care, recruitment where she has also built exceptional organisational skills, relevant to her role at Aqualution.
